Walk along the cliffs on a via ferrata

Halfway between hiking and climbing, the via ferrata allows you to climb safely on the cliffs overlooking Sixt Fer à Cheval. Routes equipped with cables, metal rungs, footbridges or even monkey bridges will lead the more daring to the summits where the views over Samoëns are breathtaking.

Caving allows you to discover what is hidden under the mountains by browsing the underground galleries of Samoëns (the Jean-Bernard chasm was for almost twenty years the deepest known cave in the world). Rafting down the Giffre

Rafting is practiced on a self-bailing unsinkable boat, designed for White Water. Both fun and sporty, it allows you to share a water ride or a sensational descent. From Sixt, you will cross the Samoëns plain and its tumultuous rapids to finally arrive at the Giffre bridge.

The summer sports agenda

Adopts 1 Col: 21 July 2024
The Col de Joux Plane is part of the history of the Tour de France with 12 climbs since 1978. On the occasion of the Adopte un col event, Joux Plane will be closed to traffic, by departmental decree, and cyclists will be able to enjoy one of the most demanding climbs in Haute-Savoie, classified as a non-category climb: 13.3 km at an average of more than 7.5% and passages with a gradient of over 11%. A refreshment point will be offered at the summit before descending and enjoying an exceptional view of the Haut-Giffre.

Ultra-Trail® du Haut-Giffre – 11th edition from 14 to 16 June 2023
In only 7 editions, the Ultra Trail du Haut Giffre has become a must in the world of mountain races with some 2,000 participants each year.
