Toutourisme® Label
The Toutourisme® label was created in 2007 by the Troyes Tourist Office. It recognises tourist offices and destinations that provide a high standard of hospitality for visitors travelling with their dogs.
Its main objectives are to:
- inform visitors about places, activities, accommodation and restaurants that welcome pets;
- promote responsible tourism, with respect for public spaces, the environment and local residents.
Destinations with this accreditation offer:
- a ‘Toutourisme’ guide listing ‘dog-friendly’ venues;
- a welcome pack (poo bags, treats, information leaflets);
- a ‘Toutoubar’ (drinking fountain for dogs) at the tourist information centre;
- advice on the rules to follow and useful services (vets, walking areas, authorised swimming areas, etc.).
The scheme has now been adopted by seventy-six tourist information centres across France, with a network that continues to expand.
