Samoëns Panorama Valley

Experience the mountains in a whole new way by combining scenic hikes with ski lifts in Samoëns.

Right from the start, the Grand Massif Express gondola quickly takes you up to the Saix plateau at an altitude of 1,600 meters. Here, enjoy a panoramic view of the valley with a splendid vista of the surrounding peaks, notably the Criou—the resort’s iconic peak.

This first stop marks the start of a hike toward Lac des Gouilles. Begin by following the stone path across the plateau, then continue along the pastures.

When you reach the lake, nestled among lush green landscapes and alpine pastures, a trail on your left leads you a few meters to a small promontory offering a view of the Cirque de Vaconnant.

The tranquility of this lake provides the perfect natural setting for a contemplative break in the heart of the alpine pastures. Picnic tables are available here.
