What are the opening hours of the ski lifts?
The lifts of Samoëns will be open all summer at the following times:

  • From June 3rd: opening of the Grand Massif Express gondola every day from 9am to 5pm.
  • From July 2nd: opening of the Chariande Express chairlift every day from 9:30am to 4:30pm.


  • Access to 1 lift: €8.
  • Access to 2 lifts: €12.
  • 15 round-trip Giffre card, valid summer 2022 : €80.

Where to swim in Samoëns ?
Two places are available for you to refresh yourself in complete serenity!

The municipal swimming pool has a sports pool, a learning pool and a 50m² paddling pool. The icing on the cake is a 60 meter slide!

Open all summer

The Lac aux Dames in the heart of the leisure center gives you access to a supervised swimming area with water at 21°C. Beach, lawn and shower are designed to make you spend a pleasant moment.

Every day of the summer from 10am to 6pm.

Where to fish in Samoëns ?
It is possible to fish in the river and in the lakes of the leisure center.

The fishing card gives you access to the small lake of Samoëns and the blue lake of Morillon.

This card is on sale at the tourist office for €15.

It is valid from May to November.

The fishing permit will allow you to fish in the biggest lake of Samoëns, called NO KILL as well as in the river Giffre.

This permit is on sale at the tourist office and is valid for the day, week or year.

What are the routes to do by bike?
Whether you ride a road bike, a mountain bike or an electric bike, there are a number of marked trails that can be ridden independently or accompanied.

What are the hiking routes?
The Giffre valley is rich in hikes accessible to beginners or experienced hikers. More information here.

We would like to draw your attention to the presence of guard dogs, also called patou, on hiking trails.  The patous are more and more often present in the mountain pastures to guard the herds of sheep or goats. More information here.

Are there any shuttles this summer?
The summer shuttle service will run from July 4 to August 26.

This device will make it possible to move easily in the valley, from Mieussy to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, and towards particularly appreciated sites like trays of Praz-de-Lys and Sommand, the Col de Joux Plane, the lakes of Morillon and Samoëns, the Cascade du Rouget, the Lignon or the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval.

What to do at the leisure center?
The “Base de loisirs des lacs aux dames” is an ideal place to relax and have fun with friends or family.

Take a swim in our open-air pool with its slide and 3 pools, as well as in the Lac aux Dames and its beach.

Keep active by playing one of the many sports offered at the leisure center such as basketball, soccer, tennis, petanque and table tennis.

Have fun on the tree climbing course, the golf practice on water or in the children’s play area! 

Refresh yourself and eat in one of the two bar-restaurants of the leisure center or take advantage of our picnic area.

Where to go for a walk with your dog?
Hiking with your dog is a great activity to share with your dog. Here is an outdoor activity adapted to all and free!

For the journey, bring a bowl and water as well as a lanyard and a harness.

Dogs are forbidden, even on a leash, at the Samoëns leisure center as well as in the largest nature reserve in Haute Savoie: the Sixt-Passy Nature Reserve, so as not to disturb the fauna. But don’t worry, other hikes, climbs, access to the refuge are possible.
