handi-tourism in Samoëns

Find all the practical information you need about accessibility and the adapted activities available to you.

To find out about accessibility at the tourist office building, please visit our page on Acceslibre.

Samoëns is committed to accessible tourism in the mountains. The resort village offers a wide range of adapted facilities that enable people with disabilities to access numerous sporting and cultural activities, as well as the various facilities in the village.

The municipality of Samoëns, the Tourist Office and the Samoëns Handi-Glisse association have joined forces to form a steering committee and have identified offers that allow visitors to enjoy the village while combining pleasure and ease of access. The association’s aim is to provide disabled sports equipment and make it available free of charge to people with disabilities.

The Tourist Office has visited accommodation providers (hotels, chalets, campsites, etc.) as well as restaurants and shops in order to create a section that provides information on the level of accessibility in these establishments for people with reduced mobility.

Blason Berckois

The time has come to leave, bringing an exceptional stay to an end with Xavier and Krystel Davergne at Clos des Cimes, in Vallon d’en Haut, Samoëns.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our hosts for their warm and thoughtful welcome. The gîte, perfectly accessible for an electric wheelchair, had been carefully prepared: furniture was moved to accommodate medical equipment (hospital bed, bedside table, etc.), and the beds were made upon our arrival — a precious comfort from the very first moments.

Discreet yet always attentive, Xavier and Krystel looked after our well-being and kindly supported us in organizing outings perfectly adapted to disability.

We discovered the mountains from every angle thanks to the Cimgo — many thanks to our pilots, Xavier and Serge. Aquazen brought immense benefits to both body and soul; thank you, Krystel, for these moments of relaxation.

Fully re-energized, we have already made plans to return in March to discover skiing on fresh powder.

At 75 and 63 years old, there is no age limit to discovering, dreaming, and embracing new experiences — all it takes is meeting the right people.
