Festival Lyrique du Giffre 2026

Samoëns and the Giffre valley come alive for 2 week to the sound of lyrical songs. Singers, artists and orchestras come together to share their passion for this very poetic art.

Concerts, masterclasses, entertainment and access to rehearsals before the final performances - this is what awaits you at the Festival Lyrique du Giffre. This festival, created by and for lyrical music enthusiasts, is as original as it is attractive.

Set in the Vallée du Giffre, at the cultural center Le Bois aux Dames in Samoëns, the program is full of song and discovery. Beautiful music punctuates the evenings of these 15 days dedicated to the poetic art of opera.

The 2026 program is a season of diversity and emotion. Accordion and voice mingle in intimate, vibrant moments in Taninges, while the Rumberos bring their warm, festive energy to Morillon's Lac Bleu. The public will also be invited to play and learn with a fun and accessible Opera Quizz at the Rivière Enverse.

You'll also find a local group, Boréal, with the participation of Ella, revealed by The Voice Kids, for a musical encounter as sensitive as it is luminous in Morillon.

Chamber music is not to be outdone, with delicate ensembles combining flute, harp and voice, for moments of pure sound poetry at Mieussy.

GALA BROADWAY
It's time for a big show, with a Broadway Gala led by coloratura soprano Ivy You, whose virtuosity and stage presence promise an exceptional moment. The orchestra, conducted by Enrique Francisco Segura and Matthieu Poulain, will accompany this musical journey to the heart of Broadway's great pages, between emotions, vocal bursts and spectacular atmosphere.

LA TRAVIATA
A timeless masterpiece of the operatic repertoire, Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata is presented in a sensitive and elegant new production. The staging, by Romain Pascal, highlights the dramatic force and modernity of this emblematic opera. Musical direction will be provided by Enrique Francisco Segura, guaranteeing a refined yet passionate reading of this deeply moving work.

From the Samoëns tourist office, walk down to the parking lot below the skating rink to take the impasse des drugères. At the end of this, take the footpath to the right of the MMV Residence. At the end of the path, take the crosswalk. The path is suitable for PRMs.
