This stage has a high-mountain character, with equipped passages and magnificent panoramic views: Cirque du Bout du Monde, Pointe Rousse, Lac de la Vogealle, the Dents Blanches, the Pointe de Bostan.

The tour of the Dents Blanches is a challenging route in the wilderness, suitable for expert walkers who know how to find their bearings in the mountains: several of the technical sections are more like high-mountain hiking.
Located in the Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval nature reserve, this refuge is accessible in 3-4 hours of walking from the Fer-à-Cheval cirque.
