Carved on the side of a hill, in the heart of the village, the garden of Ja tosinia bears witness to the exceptional fate of a woman closely related to Samoëns:

Marie-Louise Cognacq-Jaÿ.

This 3.7 hectare park, classified as a “remarkable garden”, now has more than 2500 species of mountain flowers from all over the world and transports visitors to every corner of the globe.

Europe is represented by the blue thistle of the Alps, the cedar of Lebanon or the crocus of the Balkans. The giant sequoia or the bloodthirst come from America. The Asian continent is also present thanks to the peony of Father Father Delavay while the padlily comes from Japan. Finally the bushy veronica comes from New Zealand.
