The Samoëns Christmas Village 2026

December 5, 2026, through January 2, 2027

Once again this year, Samoëns is decked out in its finest lights to help you experience the magic of Christmas. For nearly a month, the heart of the village comes alive with the Christmas market, set up at the Parking du Criou, and numerous activities on the Place du Gros Tilleul and at La Grenette.

Children can write their letters to Santa Claus, go for a pony ride, visit the live nativity scene, or participate in the Elves’ Workshop. Older visitors can enjoy the artisan market, Christmas shopping, shows, and the New Year’s concert.

Every day, pick up the special Christmas scavenger hunt at the Tourist Office and set out to explore the village with your family!

Opening Weekend

Saturday, December 5

2:00 PM–7:00 PM: Christmas Market (Criou Parking Lot)
2:00 PM–7:00 PM: Write Your Letter to Santa (Criou Parking Lot)
4:30 p.m.: 4 km Christmas Run, open to everyone. Come in costume—a prize will be awarded for the best costume! (Start at the Criou Parking Lot)
7:00 p.m.: 10 km Christmas Run, for ages 16 and up, in costume or not (start at Criou Parking Lot)
