A family discovery trail in the beautiful Giffre valley.
From our charming village of Samoëns, go exploring the Giffre valley and all its villages.
This pass has often been a justice of the peace for the riders of the Tour de France © and the Dauphiné Libéré ©.
His ascent by bike from Samoëns, apart from sporting performance which requires good training, is the opportunity to browse a wonderful balcony opening onto the valley, then towards the Mont-Blanc massif under its most majestic profile.

Discover the hamlet of Les Allamands while enjoying the banks of the Giffre from Taninges to Samoëns.
From Samoëns, head for Lac des Vernays via Verchaix. Continue along Lac Bleu de Morillon before reaching Samoëns and beginning the ascent to the hamlet of Les Allamands.
The chapel of Les Allamands was built by the inhabitants of the eponymous hamlet in the 19th century. It is the most recent of Samoëns' nine hamlet chapels.
Discover the two viewpoints overlooking the village of Samoëns.
Take the Grand Massif Express lift to the Plateau des Saix. Start the descent to the village of Samoëns via the Chalet du Crêt. Climb La Bourgesoise via the hamlet of Chantemerle.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Giffre valley and Mont Blanc.
The descent is via Verchaix, Morillon and the banks of the Giffre.

Return to the village of Samoëns via Morillon and the banks of the Giffre.

Regain your sense of well-being in the serenity and peace of higher altitudes as you walk through alpine pastures and along the shores of lakes. In fact, why not do a spot of fishing while you're there?
Looking for ideas for easy walks in constantly-changing scenery? Leaving Samoëns behind, you can get a wonderful view of Mont-Blanc from the Tête des Saix. From there, head for La Combe de Gers with its lake and gîte-cum-restaurant, then return to Samoëns or Sixt Fer-à-Cheval.
Discover the mountain bike route to the Chalet des Fonts! Perfect for challenge-seekers, this challenging route takes you over the gorges to the bridge over the Giffre des Fonts, giving access to the refuge and alpine pastures.
