The Christmas and New Year village

 

From 6 December to 2 January 2026

 

Samoëns immerses travellers in a fairytale atmosphere to celebrate Christmas with a: market (local producers and craftsmen), strolls through the town, a tombola for shopkeepers and the famous Father Christmas parade.

The winegrowers go skiing

From 9 to 12 January 2025

 

This unique event offers epicureans a chance to discover the region’s wines in a whole new way, with tastings of fine vintages and discussions with the winemakers.

24 & 25 January 2026

 

A unique family experience at the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval! Participants will discover a host of local Nordic activities such as biathlon and dog sledding in this majestic setting over two entirely free days.

Le Test’ival de parapente

From 4 to 6 April 2026

 

A not-to-be-missed event for paragliders, the Test’ival launches the start of the free-flight season in Samoëns, in the heart of the Haut-Giffre valley. The event is an opportunity to discover and test the latest gliders and harnesses free of charge. There’s something for everyone, from beginners to experts.
