For 120 years, the Jaÿsinia Alpine Botanical Garden has borne witness to a unique story: that of Marie-Louise Cognacq-Jaÿ, a visionary woman deeply attached to her roots, who donated this exceptional garden to the local council in 1906.
To celebrate this landmark anniversary, the local council invites you to enjoy a weekend like no other on 4 and 5 July 2026.
For two days, the village will come alive and be transformed:
- entertainment for all ages
- workshops
- exhibitions
- shows
- an introduction to traditional trades
- botanical and historical talks
The Jaÿsinia Alpine Botanical Garden and the heart of Samoëns will become the setting for an immersive celebration, where history, nature and culture come together.
