🌳 Our ideas for walks:
Along the Giffre: flat, shaded path, ideal for a refreshing walk along the river.
Lac aux Dames: walk around the lake on a lead, very pleasant during the day.
Forêts de la Rosière or Vallon d’en Bas: guaranteed immersion in nature.
Col de Joux Plane: exceptional views.
👉Please note: Dogs must be kept on a leash in public places and on shared paths. Ask the tourist advisors for information on hikes that are accessible in winter.

In winter, only the first half of the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval is open and accessible to visitors. Dogs are allowed in this section only.
The second half of the cirque, as well as the Sixt-Passy Nature Reserve — where pets are strictly prohibited — are not accessible during the winter season.

To keep our village clean and pleasant for everyone, the municipality of Samoëns has installed 13 dog waste bag dispensers throughout the centre and surrounding area. These dispensers are strategically located to make walking your four-legged friend easier.

To ensure that everything goes smoothly with other holidaymakers:
