On the occasion of the European Heritage Days on the theme of Architectural Heritage, the Friends of Clos Parchet invite you to this afternoon of visits and discussions on the spatial and constructive composition of the Savoyard peasant house.
Visit and discussion with Jean-François Lyon-Caen (architect, ENSAG), Claudine Barrioz (Maisons Paysannes) and Dominique Abry-Deffayet (ethnolinguist).
On the occasion of the 2025 European Heritage Days on the theme of Architectural Heritage, the Friends of the Clos Parchet Ecomuseum Farm invite you to this afternoon of visits and discussions on the spatial and constructive composition of the Savoyard peasant house.
Jean-François Lyon-Caen is an architect and founder of the "Mountains, Architecture and Landscape" research master's program at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble (ENSAG). Claudine Barrioz is departmental delegate for the Pays de Savoie region of Maisons Paysannes de France, a national association for the preservation of built and landscaped rural heritage. Dominique Abry-Deffayet is an ethnolinguist. Together, they will present the specific features of local materials and traditional architecture in the Giffre valley.
