Unusual music or an original circus act? It's the circus of invention. ‘Everything we touch and do makes a sound: whether it's circus tools, the stage or ourselves.’
Sung and performed live, Sonata per tubi is a contemporary circus show that explores the musical possibilities of circus objects and tools, transforming them into musical instruments through the genius and use of technology.
The concert begins. Pieces of flying tubing make up a double bass and a cello. The music unfolds through Rossini, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and Louis Armstrong. The circus feeds the trio's madness, counterpointed by hammers that become saxophones and sonorous diabolos. The pizzicato of the musical clown translates the feelings of the three actors who, in a universal language accessible to all, meet and clash in the magical game of life.
