Located in Taninges, this former monastery was built 700 years ago and belonged to the Carthusian order. Stroll through the monastery grounds and admire contemporary sculptures that blend into the landscape of the Giffre valley, the architecture of the Chartreuse and the special history of the site. Created in 1906 by Marie-Louise Cognacq-Jay, founder of La Samaritaine, this site, listed as a Remarkable Garden, is home to no fewer than 4,800 mountain plants, divided into 2,500 species. What better way to end the day than to watch the sun set over the peaks of Samo\u00ebns?
