The goal is to become, if possible, electricity-positive by 2025\u20132030 for household consumption, or even overall.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>What does producing locally in Samo\u00ebns mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using hydroelectric power from some of our mountain streams.<\/li>\n<li>Producing solar electricity on our rooftops and\/or parking areas.<\/li>\n<li>Producing heat for urban heating by making use of our local resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why this ambition?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By producing green energy, we help combat climate change, support the upkeep of our forest heritage, and create local jobs.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;529417&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cAu Fil du Giffre\u201d Greenway<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"chapeau\">A true guiding thread through the area, the \u201cAu Fil du Giffre\u201d greenway currently makes it possible to travel from Sixt-Fer-\u00e0-Cheval to Taninges \u2014 in either direction \u2014 on foot, by bike (mountain bike\/hybrid), or on horseback, allowing visitors to discover the valley in a different way, in a peaceful and green setting.<\/h2>\n<p>Development of the \u201cAu Fil du Giffre\u201d greenway began in 2015 through the Giffre\/Risse River Contract, with the project management delegated by the CCMG to the Mixed Syndicate for the Development of the Arve and its Tributaries (SM3A), and supported by funding from the Rh\u00f4ne-Mediterranean-Corsica Water Agency and the Haute-Savoie Department.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"382\" data-end=\"626\">The project aims to enhance the Giffre River and its natural areas while developing the region\u2019s tourism assets. It also improves access to the river and facilitates maintenance of the banks and structures (footbridges, bridges, dikes, etc.).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"890\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The development work consists of restoring and\/or designing\/creating a gentle, low-impact pathway of variable width, up to a maximum of 3 meters, using stabilized and compacted materials. This ensures the continuity of the route along the Giffre for all users.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;50641&#8243;
