The history of the village of Samo\u00ebns<\/h2>\n

The historic heart of Samo\u00ebns, with its ancient Halles, church and the Big Linden, is reminiscent of a nearly millennial history and ancestral heritage.<\/span>\u00a0The name \u00abSamo\u00ebns\u00bb goes back to the year 1167. It comes from a medieval expression that describes \u00abthe seven mountains\u00bb surrounding the village: Cuidex, Vigny, Folly, Oddaz, Bostan, Chardonni\u00e8re, Freterolles, La Vullie.<\/span>\u00a0This is why the inhabitants of the village are called septimontains and septimontaines.<\/span><\/h2>\n
