Samoëns American Festival - Dance & Concerts

The Samoëns American Festival is 3 days of festivities in the centre of the village with dance balls and workshops, as well as country and rockabilly music concerts with well-known artists and up-and-coming performers.

BALL & CONCERT
For the 14th edition of the Samoëns American Festival, you will find in concert :
- Saturday at 11am: Didier Beaumont
- Saturday at 5pm: Ady & The Hop Pickers
- Saturday at 9pm: Liane Edwards
- Sunday at 11am: Lilly West
- Sunday at 4.30pm: Hillbilly Rockers


DJ DANCES
Throughout the festival, the village centre will be alive with dances in a variety of country styles :
- Country dances with DJ Marc
- Catalan dances with the 2 Thierry
- New Line dances with Dj Aude


DANCE TRAINING
You will also have the opportunity to learn new dances during workshops given by talented choreographers:

On Country & New Line styles:
- With Niels POULSEN
- With Jean-Pierre MADGE

On the Catalan style :
- With Vanesa BAREMBIO

Saturday evening at 5.30 pm: The trainees of the dance workshops, accompanied by the choreographers, will be able to put into practice what they have learned during this Ball at the Ice Rink.


REGISTRATION TO THE WORKSHOPS
Take advantage of different formulas and different levels (from novice to advanced):
- 1 workshop = 8€.
- 2 workshops = 15€ (for the novice)
- 3 workshops = 21€.
- from 4 courses = 6€/slot
- Pass for all courses = 40€.

Attention, to participate in the workshops, you must have at least 1 year of experience in country dance.

INTRODUCTION TO COUNTRY DANCING
For those who would like to try country dancing for the very first time, initiations will be offered free of charge during the whole weekend in the centre of Samoëns by Chantal from Canton Danse 74 and Sylvie from Hooked on Country.
