Mountain biking in Samoëns in the Alps is available for all levels of skill. Col de Joux Plane, a mountain pass that has often been part of the Tour de France, is one of the most difficult in the Alps. As to the long, flat floor of the Giffre Valley, it has three easy trails from Taninges to Cirque du Fer à Cheval via Samoëns, ranging in distance from 24 to 47 km.
