Who would have thought that this former school teacher from Paris would one day become a wine merchant? Once he was rid of his exercise books and satchels, he set off to discover the cellars of the different wine-growing regions of France. He spent a long time maturing, before opening his first store in Savoy. "Behind every bottle, there is a person". An simple way of proposing an original selection of red and white wines that is impulsive rather than conventional. Even if he has left the classroom once and for all, Jean-Claude Belbarbe is still a teacher at heart. Every week, he organises tasting sessions of Savoy wines, usually in the presence of a local wine-grower. He makes comments on the selections and the vinification methods used for the wines available in his store. An ideal opportunity to discuss wine, wine-growing methods and the selection of grape varieties. A great opportunity to talk about wine with someone who really cares about it.
